The EMDA is governed by its membership through a volunteer Board of Directors which meets monthly and is elected at the EMDA's annual general membership meeting. The EMDA is managed on a day-to-day basis by a volunteer Executive Committee and Executive Officers appointed by the Board of Directors.
The membership of the EMDA is comprised of:
- firms registered as exempt market dealers with securities regulators in one or more jurisdictions across Canada and the dealing representatives of those firms,
- exempt market issuers and professional advisers/service providers to the exempt market including law firms, accountants, compliance advisers, shareholder advisers, corporate communications advisers, etc.
