Governance Structure

The EMDA is governed by its members through a volunteer Board of Directors which meets monthly and is elected at the EMDA's annual general membership meeting. The EMDA is managed on a day-to-day basis by a volunteer Executive Committee and Executive Officers appointed by the Board of Directors.

The membership of the EMDA is comprised of: 1) firms registered as exempt market dealers with securities regulators in one or more jurisdictions across Canada, and 2) professional advisers and service providers to the exempt market including law firms, accountants, compliance advisers, shareholder advisers, corporate communications advisers, etc.
