The EMDA needs your views on the CSA's review of the Accredited Investor and Minimum Amount rules. Please take a few minutes to share your views through our EMDA Survey:

Background on the CSA Review:

The CSA has released a Staff Consultation Note announcing a review of the Accredited Investor and $150,000 Minimum Amount exemptions under National Instrument 45-106 Prospectus and Registration Exemptions.

CSA Staff Consultation Note 45-401 can be accessed
HERE.

Securities regulators are reviewing whether certain classes of investors are suitable participants in the exempt market and are considering changing or even eliminating these exemptions. These changes could significantly affect individuals who purchase exempt market securities, dealers who sell them, and issuers who rely on them to raise capital.

The CSA has invited public comments until February 29, 2012 and in preparing its comments to the CSA, the EMDA wants to hear from you. Please help us understand how any changes could impact you and share your comments and ideas on how the EMDA should respond to regulators.

Please contact the EMDA at info@emdacanada.comif we can be of assistance to you.
